Disgraceful, disappointed, horrible, dreadful, these aren’t the adjectives typically associated with the legendary Whitney Houston but that was the sentiment echoed by concert goers after witnessing Whitney’s performance down under. One guy described it as “the worst concert I’ve ever been to in my life.” One woman said, “She couldn’t sing to save her life. She couldn’t entertain a dead rat to be honest.”
It’s reported Whitney opened the concert with Read the rest of this entry »

January 21st, 2010Celebrities, Entertainment, Music
There was a time when the only singers/artists mentioned were those that were actually worth mentioning. They possessed a certain “IT” that turned them into formidable superstars. That time was the 90’s. Whitney, Mariah, Toni Braxton, Usher, Brandy, Monica, Aaliyah, Christina Augilera, Britney Spears, Maxwell, and countless others came across our televisions screens and blared from our radio speakers without needing an explanation or gimmick to justify their presence. Fast forward to 2010, WHAT THE HELL IS KE$HA? Read the rest of this entry »

Queen Latifah was in attendance at the 3rd Annual BET Honors, taped at the Warner Theatre in D.C. yesterday (January 16) and to air on February 1st at 9pm. Queen was honored for her achievements, along with Diddy, Whitney Houston, educator Ruth Simmons and neurosurgeon Keith Black. “Each of our six celebrants are dedicated to reaching back to help bring more forward,” sad BET’s president of music programming, Stephen Hill. “They represent integrity, perseverance, fortitude and outsized talent. Music, merriment and memories are only a small part of ‘BET Honors.’ We also hope to encourage our viewers to embody and emulate the passion and drive of these individuals.”
While Queen showed up in D.C. looking very casual and non-descript, her transformation is always remarkable.
