Controversial indie film “Ticked-Off Trannies With Knives” premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival Friday night (April 23). In response to all criticism the film received from members and supporters of the trans-community, film’s director Israel Luna made some last minute tweaks in an effort to simmer the controversy.

It doesn’t look like the controversy surrounding Tribeca Film Festival selection, “Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives” is dying down anytime soon. The comedic film came under fire after the trailer was released and some took offense to the scenes of gory violence against the transwomen.
Here’s a quick synopsis of the film. It’s about a group of transwomen who are violently bashed by three straight guys and left for dead. The women, however, survive, regain consciousness, and then seek revenge on the three men who bashed them.
