Seeing as how it’s Friday and we are steadily thanking the Lord with the TGIFs, we might as well also thank him for the beautiful SI swimsuit model Damaris Lewis.
Damaris looks all kind of goodness gracious, with a healthy dose of hallelujah.

Pop princess Rihanna will hit the stage tonight (April 7) at the American Idol results show to perform her new single, Te Amo. English translation “I Love You,” it’s the follow up to her hit single, “Rude Boy.” The ballad is about the love between two women that comes to an end when one can no longer return the love the other woman so desperately seeks.
Honey, sounds likes something right out of a novella… or real life. *side eye*
Seriously though, I can’t help but wonder the inspiration for this song. Could it be that her BFF Melissa is that other woman? I could see it. It’s common for a woman to have a best friend that’s also a woman and lines get blurred between friendship and romance. Lesbian, bi and queer ladies, I’m sure you can back me up on that.
Either way, I can dig it Ri-Ri. Love the track. And if she shoots a video for this, I hope *fingers crossed* she doesn’t take the lame, safe route. Might as well keep the controversy train going.
Check out the song and lyrics after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »

There have been conflicting reports as to the identity of the woman seen leaving Tattoo Mania in West Hollywood on Saturday with Chris Brown.
It’s been back and forth between ex-girlfriend Erica Jackson and Girlicious band member, Natalie Mejia.
Brown’s camp finally confirmed the identity of the woman seen out with Brown this past weekend was in fact Natalie Mejia.
Brown’s reps told People magazine, “Natalie Mejia was there with Dean. [Reports in other media] that Natalie Mejia is Chris’s new girlfriend are also false. Rumors claiming Brown is dating a Virginia college student named Erica Jackson are also not true.”
Mmmmm-hmmmm. Whateva!
Just yesterday, Brown’s reps claimed he didn’t even know the woman, NOT EVEN HER NAME!!
A source close to Mejia told People, Read the rest of this entry »

Could it be these nationwide open calls for contestants to appear on America’s Next Top Model are just publicity stunts?
According to the NY Daily News, sources allege that some girls are chosen by producers to appear on the show at private tryouts. A show insider revealed, “The producers had already picked some of the girls they wanted in private meetings. They had to sign agreements promising not to reveal how they were chosen.”
Dehea Abraham, eager to tryout for the show, flew up from Atlanta to participate in the March 14th open call, only to be discouraged by a friend. According to Abraham, “My friend Read the rest of this entry »

And for all of us really. My heart sank when I read this story.
Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover, an 11 year-old Massachusetts boy, hung himself on Monday after ongoing bullying and anti-gay taunting from classmates at his middle school.
Carl was a junior at New Leadership Charter School in Springfield, Mass, and although he did not identify as gay, he endured bullying at school and daily taunts of being gay.
His mother, Sirdeaner L. Walker, pleaded with the school on a weekly basis to remedy this bullying problem. Obviously, the school’s action, if any, was not enough.
Carl would have turned 12 on April 17th.
Ok, people, let’s talk for real here. We’re all adults and as adults we should be able to have frank conversations with one another.
HATE IS HATE regardless of your justification and reasoning for it. And when Read the rest of this entry »
