March 11th, 2010Celebrities, Entertainment, Movies, Queen Latifah
After spending last summer in NY shooting the film, the trailer for the much anticipated film, Just Wright, starring Queen Latifah and Common has finally been released. The film is a romantic comedy starring Queen Latifah as a physical therapist who finds herself falling for a professional basketball player, played by Common, while rehabilitating him from a career-threatening injury. Paula Patton also stars in the film as Common’s gold-digging, opportunistic girlfriend. You already know I’m a big Queen Latifah fan; so if I could pre-order the tickets, it would already be done!
Just Wright hits theaters May 14th

Queen Latifah was in attendance at the 3rd Annual BET Honors, taped at the Warner Theatre in D.C. yesterday (January 16) and to air on February 1st at 9pm. Queen was honored for her achievements, along with Diddy, Whitney Houston, educator Ruth Simmons and neurosurgeon Keith Black. “Each of our six celebrants are dedicated to reaching back to help bring more forward,” sad BET’s president of music programming, Stephen Hill. “They represent integrity, perseverance, fortitude and outsized talent. Music, merriment and memories are only a small part of ‘BET Honors.’ We also hope to encourage our viewers to embody and emulate the passion and drive of these individuals.”
While Queen showed up in D.C. looking very casual and non-descript, her transformation is always remarkable.
