D.C. born rapper Wale showed the hoards of LGBT partygoers that descended upon his hometown for D.C. Black Pride some love. After much controversy over his originally scheduled appearance, Wale took to the stage on Sunday to perform at the pride celebration’s main event.

Usher took the stage at the NBA All-Star game pre-show in what many mocked as leather capris and leg warmers. Wardrobe aside, Usher was also criticized for his struggle to keep up with his back up dancers.

Rapper Fiona Simone, leader of the Tomboy Fresh Movement, is set to hit the Atlanta scene this month with a series of concerts throughout the city. While mainstream female rappers have virtually disappeared from the scene, LGBT rappers are filling that void for both mainstream and LGBT fans alike. Fiona’s incredible flow and dope rhymes have earned her well-deserved recognition from real music lovers across the board. Can’t hate on that!! Well, unless you’re a bonafide hater and hey, you just can’t help yourself.

Common performed for a packed house in Brooklyn last night at BAM, sponsored by Metro PCS. It was part of the Metro PCS 5 Boro Takeover Tour. The crowd was on their feet for the entire performance, rapping, dancing and jumping along with the conscious rap hottie, causing the floor to feel like it was about to cave in. Fan’s didn’t seem to mind though. Just good times and good music.
