Mariah Carey has dropped out of Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf,” an adaption of Ntozake Shange’s 1975 play.

Her rep told UsMag, “she is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to. More than that I cannot comment further.”

Nick Cannon admits he doesn’t mind being called Mr. Carey.  Cannon told UsMag “It doesn’t bother me at all.  I love [the jokes], I welcome it.”

Singer Mariah Carey attended the 12th Annual Keepers of the Dream Awards at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers last night (April 15) in NYC. Hubby Nick Cannon was by her side as she was honored with the James Brown Cultural Excellence Award. The award recognizes persons who exemplify the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King in their respective fields.

The Keepers of the Dream Awards is hosted annually by Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network.

Reality TV star Monica Danger took to Youtube to address the myriad of “rumors” out there about her and share with viewers the “real Monica.”

“I’m not Danger. She’s a character on a TV show that I play,” asserts Monica. “I do not love Ray J Norwood and I never have. I don’t even like him very much, really. I appeared as Danger for two seasons on For The Love of Ray J.” Monica went on to state, “I’ve never engaged in any form of prostitution whatsoever. I have a clean criminal record. I recently went to the hospital in Northern California because I wanted to go there voluntarily to deal with my post-partum depression.”

Now here’s the thing. Most of these so-called “rumors” she’s addressing are really just stories she’s told that she now wants to retract.
