The Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) held its annual Fashion Forward event Monday night (November 16) at the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC. It was a night of cocktails, a runway show by Saks Fifth Avenue, featuring Burberry, Diesel, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Alexander McQueen, just to name a few and all sorts of fabulosity.

The event was hosted by none other than Tim Gunn of Project Runway. A few other celebrities in attendance included: ANTM judges, Miss J, Nigel Barker, and Jay Manuel, talk show host Wendy Williams, Erin Lucas, Sara Dash, John Bartlett and Sean Palmer.

On Tuesday’s (November 10) episode of The Tyra Bank Show, America’s Next Top Model judge Miss J revealed to Miss Tyra that he is the co-father of a 7 year-old boy named Boris.

Miss J explained that a French lesbian friend of his asked if he and his ex-boyfriend would be sperm donors. J told Tyra, “So we thought, ‘OK, you want me to do you?’ And she was like, ‘Ooooh, I’m not that talented.’ So I said, ‘Okay fine.’ So we did a little test tube.”

Although Miss J is not the biological father (the ex-boyfriend Alex is), he says he feels every bit a father and is still very much a part of his son’s life.

In his new book, “Follow the Model,” he discusses his “incredibly smart child,” and says “the experience has enriched [his] life beyond imagination.”

We just LOVE Miss J.

America’s Next Top Model judge J. Alexander, better known as Miss J.,  has penned a half-memoir, half self-help book titled, Follow the Model: Miss J’s Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise and Power.  Currently in manuscript form, “Follow the Model” includes a fashion pronunciation guide, pictures and a guide to Karl Lagerfeld.  

An excerpt from the book appeared online earlier this week via the site Fashionista, which tells the story of a time Miss J was intentionally kept out of a Fashion Week show one season.  Handling the matter gracefully, Miss J later found out a publicist was behind the particular slight, yet chose not reveal the names of the publicist or designer.  

Follow the Model is set to release November 10, 2009.
