Grammy-nominated R&B singer Ledisi held a listening party at Les Poisson Rouge in NYC for her sophomore album, “Turn Me Loose“  Turn Me Loose is an appropriate title for the follow up to her debut album, “Lost & Found.” This new album resembles the sound of an artist with unbridled talent, passion and ability further solidifying her presence in this often fickle music industry.

Ledisi’s high-energy performance and the crowd’s complete captivation had the feel moreso of a concert than a listening party. She commanded the crowd effortlessly as she sang new tracks “Knockin‘,” “Alone” and “Higher Than This” and at times even led the crowd in dance moves mimicked in unison. Ledisi has the ability to exude a genuine warmth and sincerity from the stage that allows the audience to truly feel connected to her. This warm and sincerity remained even off stage as she signed albums and took pictures with fans giving out unlimited hugs and words of appreciation.

It’s no secret Whitney Houston is set for a comeback after a very extended hiatus. The new album, I Look To You, is set to drop this coming fall. Well, in advance of the album’s release, fans now have a chance to win entry into one of two listening events to be held in mid-July in either New York City on July 21 or Los Angeles on July 23.
