Last year was a dramaful one for MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” judges. First you had Lil Mama’s inappropriate comments to Leiomy of Vogue Evolution crew. Then, there was Shane Sparks arrest and indictment on child molestation charges later in the year.
Well, it seems as though show producers seek to inject new blood into the show by bringing R&B singer Omarion on board as a judge to take over Shane’s seat.
In choosing a replacement for Sparks, one show creator admitted “we were looking for a judge who could understand what the crews go through when they get on stage and perform.”

Vogue Evolution appeared on the season finale of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew after being eliminated in week five of the competition. The group was selected by show’s judge Lil Mama to perform with Artistry in Motion and We Are Heroes to “Girls On the Dance Floor” by East Movement.
After the finale, Vogue Evolution caught up with Pacific Rim Video and shared their favorite moments from the show. In an exclusive, the beautiful Leiomy revealed the group is working on a couple of things, including a talk show as well as her plans to explore her passion of modeling. She will walk her first fashion in California next month (October).

Jay-Z speaks out for the first time about Lil Papa’s Mama’s stage crash of his performance at this year’s VMAs. In an interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, Jay-Z admitted he was angered by Lil Bow Wow’s Mama’s stunt and called it “out of line.”

Who would have known Sunday night’s VMAs would serve as such a source of laughter this far into the week? The latest bit of comedy? Well, as Lil Mama’s reps warned us, she does have more to say about the incident in which she crashed Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performance at the VMAs.

First it was for her insensitive comments to Leiomy of Vogue Evolution, now for her ridiculous stunt at the end of the VMAs, Lil Mama is saying she’s sorry. In case you missed it, Bow Wow Lil Mama ran up on stage at the end of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performance of “Empire State of Mind,” and even struck a pose with the two. There was just one little problem. SHE WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE THERE. What made it even more embarrassing to her was the fact neither artist acknowledged her presence on stage. Jay-Z even had a shoo fly look on his face.

The Video Music Awards (VMAs) aired last night (September 13) on MTV live from Radio City Music Hall in NYC. And while many viewers tuned in to see Janet Jackson’s tribute to Michael, the award show audience and audience at home got that and so much more. Last night’s award show had no shortage of head scratching moments, from Kanye snatching the mic from Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech to Lil Mama crashing the stage during Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performance of “Empire State of Mind.” In short, folks were showing their ass last night.
So for those of you who may have chosen to tune into HBO’s True Blood instead, here’s what you missed. The Michael Jackson tribute kicked off the festivities when Madonna opened the show with a nearly 10 minute monologue of what Michael Jackson meant to her and was rounded out with a performance by Janet Jackson. Janet’s performance was amazing as she danced with her brother one last time while Michael’s “Scream” video, which she originally appeared in, played in the background. The first lowlight of the night came during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video.
