After reeling homophobic slurs at the media in his locker room and a fan via Twitter, Johnson issued the following apology through his agent Peter Schaffer:

NFL Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has been using his words in the last 24 hours to offend a lot of people. It all started in the Chiefs locker room on Monday when Johnson refused to answer reporters questions until Thursday. He was then captured by KCSP radio saying under his breath, “get your faggot asses out of here.”
Later that night while getting into it with a fan on Twitter, he called the fan a “fag” and then followed it up with “think bout a clever diss then that wit ur fag pic. Christopher street boy. Is what us east coast cats call u.”
For those who don’t know, Christopher Street is a popular street in the Village in NY lined with gay bars and hang out spots.
