    pray your gay away

The debate of God & Gays has transcended from generation to generation, has endured many a protest and battles, and lastly causes such a stir that it’s bound to ignite a fire one day just from the mere mention alone. It’s a GLOBAL issue to say the least. Many people feel gay people will not receive entrance into heaven and are doomed to an eternal damnation  in hell solely due to their sexual preference. There is typically no other topic that elicits such a strong religious stance, not even abortion and some label that murder. WHY? Read the rest of this entry »

Ex-gay pastor Donnie McClurkin delivered a sermon at the COGIC 102nd International Holy Convocation in Memphis, Tennessee last Saturday (November 7). During his sermon, he took shots at openly gay gospel singer Tonex and talks of how those of his generation have failed today’s youth, allowing them to fall prey to the perversions of homosexuality.

At one point, he implored homosexual youth to run down to the front of the stage and repent. (See 3rd video below).  Damn near half the congregation made their way down front.  smh.

This type of condemnation of homosexuality is no surprise coming from Donnie McClurkin.   He’s built his career on it.

    donnie-mcclurkin

Pastor Donnie McClurkin has spoken very publicly in the past about his struggle with homosexuality and being cured “delivered” from his homosexual ways. So that’s nothing new. What has garnered him new attention is a recent interview with Carrington Lei, wherein McClurkin likens his suppressed homosexuality to battling diabetes. Huh? Exactly!

Now we all know those “ex-gay” camps and ministries are nothing more than a bunch of self-hating gays who got together and decided that because they’re not comfortable in their own skin, they’ll just go ahead and screw with the heads of vulnerable gay and lesbian men and women. We all do know that, right? Ok!

Well, from McClurkin’s interview with Lei, all I got was: 1) McClurkin doesn’t take kindly to parishioners who disagree with his stance on homosexuality, and 2) McClurkin wants some man-loving but is skurred. Hey, that’s just my interpretation.

Obama says “yes we can” to the worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality.

According to the Associated Press, yesterday U.S. officials notified France, the sponsors of this measure, the U.S. will sign the United Nations declaration calling for the worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality.

The official, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated “the United States was concerned about ‘violence and human rights abuses against gay, lesbian, transsexual and bisexual individuals’ and was also ‘troubled by the criminalization of sexual orientation in many countries.’”

Some may see Obama’s support of this measure as baby steps in the fight for gay rights or a trivial gesture.  Really haters?!?! Read the rest of this entry »

Oh boy! He done did it now.

Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele has come under a lot of public criticism by his party for comments he has made lately, and his recent interview in GQ has not made matters any better.

In the GQ interview he addresses questions such as his position on gay marriage and whether homosexuality is a choice.

To the question of whether homosexuality is a choice, Steele responded, “you just can’t simply say..’Tomorrow morning I’m gonna stop being gay.’ It’s like saying, ‘Tomorrow morning I’m gonna stop being black.’”

    Hold up! Wait a minute!!

Before you go thinking the Republican party is where it’s at, he does go on to say he doesn’t believe in gay marriage and that it “is reserved for a man and a woman.”

Michael Steele we don’t believe you, you need more people.
