Hey BGG!!! Soul here. These weeks go by so fast and before you know it Wednesday is here – my day to GO IN on our celebs and your weekly dose of all my foolery. Now enough of that. This week I wanted to do something different.  So, as usual, your feedback is needed and appreciated. Ok!  So I didn’t want to do my usual questions. No stranger to controversy, rapper Foxy Brown has been arrested again in New York, this time for allegedly violating a protective order filed by her neighbor, Arlene Raymond.  Raymond was the victim in the “Blackberry beatdown” back in 2007 in which Foxy had to serve time.

This past weekend was all about the NYC Pride festivities, especially the parties. Well-known celebrities coming out to host or perform at these parties has become a staple amongst the major pride parties, for better or for worse. So when we heard Nia Long was to host The All White Affair Saturday night (June 26) at Irving Plaza, it wasn’t all too shocking, even though it would have been a first for the actress.

Rapper Nicki Minaj recently did an interview with New York Magazine, which dissected the Barb and her rising career – from her look to the trash talk to why hip hop needs her.

Described to possess the “decadent swagger” of Foxy Brown and “madcap style” of Missy Elliott, the rapper was certainly ranked high amongst female rap-royalty. Yeah, she may not have put out an album yet, but as pointed out, she’s done over 30 guest appearances on other artists tracks and videos. That’s got to count for something, right?

Obviously so to gain the stamp of approval from rap veteran Missy Elliott who sees herself in Nicki Minaj, as she told the mag, and even gave her endorsement of the rap newcomer.

With Lil Kim and Missy Elliott being such good friends, I wonder how Kim will take this? Hmmm

Rapper Foxy Brown made an emotional appearance on Mo’Nique’s show last night (May 12). With tears flowing before she hit the couch, Foxy talked about her idol Pam Grier a.k.a the original Foxy Brown, who was also on the show, as well as her complete hearing loss and recovery.

Foxy Brown just can’t get a break. The Brooklyn rapper, who was recently released from Rikers Island prison, is now being sued by the IRS for $641, 558, for allegedly failing to pay taxes from 2003 to 2006. A tax lien was filed against Brown back in June.
