Hey BGG!!! Soul here. These weeks go by so fast and before you know it Wednesday is here – my day to GO IN on our celebs and your weekly dose of all my foolery. Now enough of that. This week I wanted to do something different.  So, as usual, your feedback is needed and appreciated. Ok!  So I didn’t want to do my usual questions. As if I could love this woman anymore! I’m talking about none other than Solange Knowles, of course. The brilliant artist/songwriter/DJ extraordinaire recently did a photo shoot & interview for Refinery 29.  In addition to the STUNNING shots capturing this truly stylish beauty, it is her no-holds bar candidness that continues to make her a BLOG mainstay.   She has an unrelenting ability to be nobody but who she is, which makes her truly authentic and relatable unlike many of her contemporaries. Case in point, during her interview she spoke on the ever present comparisons to sibling Beyoncé, her upcoming album, & her boredom with the current state of R&B music among others.

Well this has certainly been an eventful week in the world of entertainment. The BET Awards have come and gone. Beyonce and Rihanna could have cared less apparently. Queen Latifah came out… ummm, I think. I’m a bit confused. And I am going to attempt to not talk about how annoying Keri Hilson’s leopard dress was and that SHAMEFUL attempt at a Rihanna cut. Beyoncé and manager-father Mathew Knowles allegedly haven’t been on speaking terms ever since the elder Knowles fathered a baby outside his marriage to Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles.
