Out rapper Fiona Simone was one of several artists in attendance for the Alliance Benefit Concert hosted by Xplosion Entertainment at MSR (My Sisters Room) in Atlanta. Rocking her Tomboy Fresh apparel, the rapper was one of several acts to perform that night. Others included: Khaos Da Rapper, MC Siya, Hotts, and Pink Inked.

Singer Maxwell will kick off his tour with Jill Scott this month (May 21st) in Cleveland, Ohio. As if that ticket wasn’t hot enough, the singer recently announced Erykah Badu and Melanie Fiona will join him for select dates starting June 11th in Atlanta at Philips Arena.

With the addition of these artists also comes more city stops. The 20-city tour has picked up 13 additional dates.

Monica paid tribute to her idol and friend Whitney Houston with her rendition of Houston’s classics “I Will Always Love You” and “You Give Good Love.” Monica performed the tribute during V-103 Soul Session held at the Midtown W Hotel in Atlanta last night (April 29).

Atlanta recording artist Anye Elite is hosting a contest to find his leading man for his upcoming music video, “I Need A Man.” This isn’t your typical casting call. Instead, this singer is throwing pool parties and every week Youtube and Facebook users will get to view the leading candidates and comment on who they think should get the spot. This week’s candidates include dancers Alaska, Angel, and Jamar West as well as model Lamar.

“I Need A Man” is the follow up to his recently released “All That Matters” video.
