Sade has released the official video for her lead single, “Soldier of Love,” off her upcoming album of the same name. The video premiered exclusively on Amazon.com at midnight.

Soldier of Love is the band’s sixth studio album in its 25 year history together and their first since Lovers Rock 2000 release. “I only make records when I feel I have something to say,” says Sade. “I’m not interested in releasing music just for the sake of selling something. Sade is not a brand.”

Soldier of Love has a more eclectic identity compared to albums past and is collectively considered by the band as “probably their most ambitious to date.” This new identity is evident with the sonic layering and martial beats of the lead single.

Soldier of Love is set to release February 9th.
