Rap group Kin4LIfe recently put mainstream singer-songwriter The Dream on blast for the striking similarities between their 2008 single “Make Up Girl” and his recent release, “Make Up Bag.” During a Live broadcast on Ustream last night (June 23), the duo, infuriated and uncut, broke down the situation for viewers.

In a recent post-jail interview, the self-proclaimed King of the South, rapper T.I., spoke with CNN’s T.J. Holmes about his latest projects and discusses whether he could see himself as a rapper at age 40.
“I’m not going to be the 40-year-old rapper. I would not,” T.I. said. “That’s Jay. He’s doing it very well. Hats off, but I don’t see me doing it. I just don’t see that for me. “

Actor and model Mehcad Brooks shows off his muscular frame and *gulp* bulge in his steamy photo shoot for the July issue of men’s mag GQ. From the front to the back, Brooks gets real up close and personal with the model featured along side him. The spread looks more like stills from an adult movie but I ain’t complaining.
I need a fan and an ice cold glass of water STAT!

Queen Latifah has joined onto the cast of the wildly popular HBO series Entourage – at least temporarily. The Queen, who’s making a guest appearance in this new season (Season 7), was spotted shooting a scene out in L.A. this week (June 22) with cast staple Jeremy Piven.
No word, however, as to what role she’s playing or when the episode will air.
Entourage premieres this Sunday, June 27th.

But in a recent radio interview, the actress sheds some light on what works for her and hubby Will.

Rapper Nicki Minaj recently did an interview with New York Magazine, which dissected the Barb and her rising career – from her look to the trash talk to why hip hop needs her.
Described to possess the “decadent swagger” of Foxy Brown and “madcap style” of Missy Elliott, the rapper was certainly ranked high amongst female rap-royalty. Yeah, she may not have put out an album yet, but as pointed out, she’s done over 30 guest appearances on other artists tracks and videos. That’s got to count for something, right?
Obviously so to gain the stamp of approval from rap veteran Missy Elliott who sees herself in Nicki Minaj, as she told the mag, and even gave her endorsement of the rap newcomer.
With Lil Kim and Missy Elliott being such good friends, I wonder how Kim will take this? Hmmm
