Wanda Sykes and wife Alex Sykes were spotted arriving on the red carpet at the 2010 Creative Arts Emmys at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday (August 21). The Creative Arts Emmys, which are part of the Primetime Emmys, recognizes programs and individual achievement programming. This year HBO led the pack earning 17 total awards, with ABC a close second at 15.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards goes live Sunday, August 29th. Sykes’ HBO comedy special “I’ma Be Me” is up for two awards that night.

Wanda Sykes dropped by friend and fellow comedian Jay Leno’s Tonight Show last night. The recently Emmy-nominated comedian talked about the upcoming Emmy awards, Mel Gibson’s rants and motherhood.

Sykes also poked fun at the cancellation of her two shows: CBS’s The New Adventures of Old Christine and her Fox talk show “The Wanda Sykes Show.” She even took jabs at her former network over the cancellation. “I wasn’t shocked,” Sykes said. “I mean it’s Fox, come on, they’re jackasses.”

Can a sista get a break?! On the heels of reports Fox is canceling Wanda Sykes’ talk show, new reports hit the net that CBS plans to cancel “The New Adventures of Old Christine.” Sykes co-starred along with Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the sitcom since 2006.

The cancellation of the Old Christine seems to come as a shock to many as the long-running show has been a staple among the network’s comedy lineup.

Word on the net is that comedienne/talk show host Wanda Sykes and the Fox network will soon go their separate ways.

According to Deadline, Fox is canceling the The Wanda Sykes Show after only one season on air due to lackluster ratings. While the show started off well in the ratings, ultimately its numbers were nowhere near the time slot’s predecessor, MadTV.

A day after her appearance on American Idol: Idol Gives Back, comedian Wanda Sykes dropped by the Ellen DeGeneres show. Wanda talked about wife Alex. the couple’s twins, Lucas and Olivia, and her recently received GLAAD award before giving her pick for the Idol win.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that many (I know it’s only 2) famous out lesbians on daytime TV before. It did my heart proud.

The 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards – Los Angeles took place this past Saturday (April 17th) at the Hyatt Regency Century Place. Five additional awards were handed out at this ceremony, adding on to the roster of previous winners at the New York ceremony.

As promised, Mississippi teen Constance McMillen presented Wanda Sykes with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award. Wanda attended the award show with wife Alex.
