While out promoting his upcoming album, Libra Scale, R&B singer Ne-Yo decided to address the gay rumors and speculation that continue to follow him. Here’s the video for Ne-Yo’s new single, “Never Knew I Needed.” It’s featured on the soundtrack of the Disney animated film, “The Princess and the Frog.” The film features a black princess by the name of Tiana. This will be the first ever black princess in Disney’s history.

The film and soundtrack are set to release November 23.

Ne-Yo and pop group Cobra Starship were paired to perform a West Side Story-esque routine as part of a video promo for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. The video took place under the streets of Brooklyn at the New York Transit Museum aboard a replica subway train. This is just one of several West Side Story themed videos used to promote this year’s award show. MTV chose to go with a West Side Story theme in honor of the award show being held in New York City.

Both Ne-Yo and Cobra Starship have been nominated for awards – Ne-Yo for Best Male Video and Cobra Starship for Best Pop Video and Best Direction.

The VMAs will air on September 13th at 9p.m. EST.
