Beyoncé’s fashion line, House of Dereon, released it’s 2010 Fall Line ad campaign this week along with photos from the shoot. The most marketable model for the line is of course Bey, who appears in all the ads. She didn’t disappoint, going topless for a few of the photos and definitely keeping it sexy.
In honor of Friday and the hard work we’ve all put in this week, here’s a little something to help you ease into the weekend.
Video and picks on the flip side… Read the rest of this entry »

July 28th, 2010Beyonce, Celebrities, Ciara, Culture, Entertainment, Fashion, Kandi Burruss, Lady Gaga, Miss J, Music, Soul Wants To Know, Tyra Banks
Hey BGG!!! Soul here. These weeks go by so fast and before you know it Wednesday is here – my day to GO IN on our celebs and your weekly dose of all my foolery. Now enough of that. This week I wanted to do something different. So, as usual, your feedback is needed and appreciated. Ok! So I didn’t want to do my usual questions. I wanted to let the IMAGES speak for themselves and well, you’ll see what I mean. I quickly found out this edition needed little words to begin with.
Well THEY SAY a pic is worth 1,000 words, I SAY they are worth 1,000,000 – at least these anyway… Read the rest of this entry »

Hey BGG readers! Back with another edition of Soul Wants To Know. Now this week it was time to switch it up a bit and not do my usual thing. So with this edition, I’d really appreciate your feedback. I don’t know about you all, but I love either-or debates (e.g., Lil’ Kim vs Foxy Brown). So this week let’s see who rises to the top and who’s better between the two subjects.
Let the debates begin… Read the rest of this entry »

June 30th, 2010Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Celebrities, Queen Latifah, Rihanna, Soul Wants To Know
Well this has certainly been an eventful week in the world of entertainment. The BET Awards have come and gone. Beyonce and Rihanna could have cared less apparently. Queen Latifah came out… ummm, I think. I’m a bit confused. And I am going to attempt to not talk about how annoying Keri Hilson’s leopard dress was and that SHAMEFUL attempt at a Rihanna cut. BGG readers bare with me cause I know this edition is not gonna be pleasant.
I mean I’m no chick, but I’m Still Bad… Read the rest of this entry »

June 28th, 2010Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Celebrities, Culture, Diddy, Entertainment, Janelle Monae, John Legend, Kanye West, Music, Queen Latifah, Taraji P. Henson, Videos
Last night, the place to be was at the 2010 BET Awards, whether you were there live or at home watching. None other than Kanye West opened the award show with a mediocre performance of his latest hit single, “Power.” The multi-talented host, Queen Latifah then followed with a playful and comedic medley. The “Queen” also spit for those who forgot how it all began.
During the 106 & Park: Live From The Red Carpet pre-show Keri Hilson hinted, “I heard it’s a night of comebacks.” and indeed it was. In tribute to the legendary honoree Prince, the also legendary Patti Labelle bellowed out a powerful rendition of Prince’s classic hit “Purple Rain.” It was also a pleasant surprise to see 80’s superstar R&B singer, El DeBarge still looking good and sounding great. The lineup also featured a few surprise duets, namely: Alicia Keys & Kim Burrell, B.O.B. & Keyshia Cole, Monica & Deniece Williams (“Silly Of Me”). But the best performance goes to Chris Brown for his exhilarating tribute to the late, Michael Jackson. Chris Brown poured his heart out while dancing (looking like MJ) and literally singing to tears. It was a performance to remember. “He [Chris Brown] left his heart on the stage, he gave genuine emotion,” said Trey Songz when asked to describe Chris Brown’s performance during a BET post-show interview with BET correspondent Big Tigger.
Now let’s get to the winners, the performances, and of course, the commentary… Read the rest of this entry »

Beyoncé and manager-father Mathew Knowles allegedly haven’t been on speaking terms ever since the elder Knowles fathered a baby outside his marriage to Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles. Back in March, a paternity test confirmed Mathew is indeed the father to mistress Alexsandra Wright’s baby boy, Nixon, born February 4, 2010.
