Soul singer Nhojj is set to headline a six-city Gay Pride Tour from New York to Colorado starting this June. The tour will include an a cappella rendition of the National Anthem in Indianapolis, IN on June 12.
Nhojj was invited to open the Circle City IN Pride Festival gala celebration by the Entertainment Co-Chair Michael Manning after he heard Nhojj’s music.
And how does Nhojj feel about performing the National Anthem at Pride? “The National Anthem is perfect for Gay Prides because it celebrates the spirit of the brave–those who strive for their freedom against all odds,” Nhojj explains.
The ground-breaking artist is also set to perform his award-winning music later that day, including a new version of “Fighting for Love (the Warrior Song).”
Nhojj’s Gay Pride Tour kicks off on June 3 in Kansas City, MO, where he’ll give a special performance at the “Show Me Pride” annual Quilt Dinner. The dinner is an evening of remembrance and celebratory hope for an AIDS cure.
Other tour dates include: Fort Collins, CO, “Pride in the Park,” June 5; Nyack, NY, “VCS Gay Pride Rockland”, June 13; Providence, RI, “Rhode Island PrideFest,” June 19; and Lexington, KY, “Lexington Pride Festival,” June 26.
