Naomi Campbell No Longer On Run From NYPD; Victim Drops Charges

The NYPD search for super model Naomi Campbell for assaulting her limo driver has been called off less than 24 hours after the incident. Just yesterday we told you the supermodel was on the run after she slapped her 27 year-old limo driver in the face and fled the scene.

This morning, however, it’s reported the search has been called off after the driver, Miodrag Mejdina, decided not to press charges against Campbell. Mejdina, who is employed by Campbell’s married billionaire boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin, was treated for him injuries, which included bruising and swelling under his eye.

So, what caused Campbell to assault Mejdina?

Mejdina told cops he was driving Campbell to the Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens when she snapped about 3 p.m. as they approached the Queensboro Bridge.

When Mejdina tried to call 911, Campbell – who was sitting in the back seat – extended one of her legendary long legs and tried to kick the phone out of his hand and hit his arm, sources said. Then Campbell slammed his face into the steering wheel.

Mejdina pulled over at 58th St. and Second Ave. and flagged down a traffic agent to report the assault, police said.
Meanwhile, the vamp vamoosed.

Campbell had apparently been nursing a grudge against Mejdina for a year. His offense? He didn’t answer the phone when she was trying to track down Doronin, sources said.

wondering why the d.a. did’nt pick the case up like they always do to men…… somethings wrong with this picture, now I’m thinkin about the Mary J. Blige incident, nothing came of that either, why is that? If you commit the crime, do the time!
