Greetings BGG Readers! Soul here with the latest installment of Soul Wants To Know. Just some thoughts on the past week of all things celebrity and more.

So here we go…

1. Why in the hell is everyone acting like Pink is the world’s best performer? Anyone can get up on a trapeze and all. NO ONE CAN DO WHAT QUEEN B DOES!! I REPEAT NO ONE….
2. And speaking of the GRAMMYs, how in the hell did Beyoncé win 6 GRAMMYs and not album of the year? Taylor Swift’s live performance was absolutely the worse I’ve ever seen and if that’s any indication of her album Fearless, then the Grammy powers that be need to snatch that award back.
3. Ok, last thing about the GRAMMYs. I could tell by Keri Hilson’s dress she thought she was going win Best New Artist- IS SHE SERIOUS? You have to be an artist to win sweety…Thanks!
4. How fantastic is it that Precious received 6 Oscar nominations?! I know Mo’Nique got hers in the bag, HOWEVER, I hope Lee Daniels gets one as didn’t get one for Monster’s Ball. How many movies does he have to make to get one? He sooooooo deserves one. CLEARLY James Cameron, with the highest grossing movie of all time, Avatar, doesn’t need anything more…SMH
5. Am I the only one that still watches Desperate Housewives religiously?? Color me crazy, but that show is the business.
6. Why does 2010 seem to be going by so damn fast?? I’m still trying to catch up!
7. Did any of you get into Michelle Williams third album, Unexpected? It was criminally underrated and received like ZERO promotion. BUT, if you didn’t get into it, you’re truly missing out. Michelle is SO TALENTED and SO IGNORED.
8. OK, so I’m not done with the GRAMMYs. Overall, very underwhelmed. Awards shows just aren’t what they use to be IMO.
9. Don’t you just LOVE being gay?? Cause HONEY…
10. HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH to you all. Don’t forget to take a moment and reflect. We’ve come a LONG WAY!!!

Pink and Beyonce had the best performances on the grammys. Don’t hate on PInk even tho Pink does throw a lot of shade Beyonce’s way.

1. Pink did give an amazing performance. B is in a class all by herself. That goes without saying

2. Taylor DID NOT deserve album of the year. I feel like all the recognition and awards she’s receiving is all a result of Kanye’s stunt at the VMAs. I wasn’t mad when he did it but now I am mad because these folks are so hell-bent on making the baby feel better she’s getting undeserved awards

3. Keri who? NEXT

4. Lee Daniels is the man

YES!! I LOVE BEING GAY. With all the external messages you get that being gay is wrong, it takes strength to come to a point of self-acceptance despite the messages. I’m proud to say I reached that point years ago and never looked back. I am who I am meant to be and I’m loving every moment of it. To all my gay brothers and sisters who are not there yet, don’t fall prey to the hatemongers THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU. Live in the light that is you.

Folks did sleep on Michelle Williams album. WE BREAK THE DAWN was my SONG. I’m about to play it right now. You know why she aint get no promotion she was still under that Knowles machine. A mess!!!! I praying she gets with the right team to push her career to where it shuld be

Beyonce is in a class all by herself. Pink is in another class, but they are both beautiful and talented. I will say this, the next day I was singing Alanis Morrisette ALL DAY LONG.

Don’t play P!nk now. They are two different performers. Beyonce can’t do what P!nk does and P!nk can’t do what Beyonce does. Nuff said.

Kanye should have held his tongue for the Grammy’s instead of going off at the VMAs. People might have agreed this time. lol

yeah Soul stop hatin on Keri…she’s an amazing songwriter and her voice isn’t bad…you can’t compare everyone to Beyonce…that’s unfair

Goodbye and goodnight to all of those that are defending Keri Wilson. That girl is nothing new, original or special. Luckily, she’s has assistance from some of the industry’s most prominent–Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, KANYE WEST–which have given her this ridiculous “buzz.”

NOT TO MENTION, she is EXTREMELY condescending and arrogant (but, why? perhaps her bob wigs were hugging her head too tight)and she lacks serious humility. I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, but I will say that she knows how to be appreciative with all of the monster success she’s had. Keri has a gold album and 2 hit singles. Hun, why the cockiness? Ashanti’s first album sold 5 million copies worldwide….look at her career now. She needs to sit down.

And, P!nk’s performance bored me. Ok, I know there was the beautiful circus acts. But, ok. This is the Grammys. I want VOCALS. I want to be blown away. Seeing P!nk fling herself around like a wet dog is not my idea of good entertainment, and NOT appropriate for a Grammys performance. Even Gaga was jumping into fires and ish but still slowed it down and showed off her voice.

Phew. Ok, last thing. Beyonce is THE entertainer of our generation. She’s the best female entertainment to emerge from the industry (Ok, Janet. So? Say something). Her performance was soulful and raw….one of the best Grammy performances I’ve ever seen.

USS, its enough love out there for everybody to get some. Keri, pink, Beyonce…etc. Let me see you try to do two things at the same time that require immense talent, let alone sing while you’re upside down and a human water sprinkler.

Neither Keri nor Pink are worried about you or Soul boo.
