Mo’Nique is quickly becoming my favorite celebrity for 2010 so far. Not just because she’s sweeping award shows with class and finesse, but also because of her recent show of support for the black LGBT community. On the Monday night episode of her talk show, “The Mo’Nique Show,” the comedian-turned-talk show host interviewed gospel singer Mikki Howard on her new book “Always Has Shoes.”

Howard talked about how the book addresses the gay aspect of church and growing up in the James Cleveland church, which she described as “really gay” and not knowing outsiders thought it was bad.

Washington D.C. Superior Court Magistrate Judge Janet Albert, 45, has found herself on the other side of the bench in a criminal trial against her former lover Taylar Nuevelle, 40.

Nuevelle (pictured above) has been charged with burglary, unlawful entry, and stalking after Albert found Nuevelle unconscious in Albert’s attic with food and a makeshift toilet. Investigators discovered Nuevelle climbed into the attic through a door in Albert’s bedroom closet and had been there for almost 24 hours.

Albert first attempted to break off the relationship in the summer of 2008. She alleged each time she tried, Nuevelle would burst into tears and threaten suicide by prescription pill overdose. Albert described it as the worst thing she ever experienced. Read the rest of this entry »

New York transwoman Angelina Mavilia has filed a lawsuit against San Francisco 49ers cornerback Eric Green alleging the player forcibly sodomized her.

According to court documents, Mavilia and Green met at a casino in Arizona back in 2009 when Green was a cornerback for the Cardinals. The two stopped off at Green’s condo after dinner where they engaged in consensual sex. Things went south when, according to court documents, sex became painful for Malivia, causing Green to ask her if there was “anything she wanted to tell him.” Green then allegedly held Malivia down and sodomized her.
