Rihanna appears on the cover of Vogue Italia’s September 2009 Couture Supplement.  Not only does she grace the cover in Valentino, but does an entire spread shot by photographer Steven Klein titled, Extreme Couture.  How fitting!

Many have speculated Rihanna’s transformation from caribbean dancehall queen to edgy, punk, rocker was a result of ripping of the style of then label-mate, Canadian rocker Fefe Dobson. You remember that song she had, right? Don’t Go (Girls & Boys). Loved it!

On Wednesday August 26th, transgender woman Joshua Mack, a.k.a NaNa-Boo, and another transgender woman were attacked in the 200 block of Q street. Both women were stabbed. Unfortunately, Mack’s injuries were fatal. The Metropolitan Police Department has now issued a reward of up to $25,000 for “anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.”

The Metropolitan Police Department has not released any details on the possible suspect.

Transgender Health Empowerment has organized a vigil to be held this evening (August 28th) at 6:30p.m. at the site of the incident, 209 Q Street NW.
