Tyra Banks is determined to get women to rock what they’ve got and be proud.  At least that’s her goal for this coming season of her talk show, The Tyra Show. Just yesterday (August 17), Tyra announced via her Twitter page plans to shed her weave and rock her “real hair” on a September 8th airing of her talk show. Tyra wants women to celebrate their “natural” hair as part of National Real Hair Day, a made up holiday created by Tyra, which coincidentally falls on September 8th.

Chris Rock and Nia Long attended The Bronner Brothers International Hair Show at the Georgia World Congress Center this past Sunday (August 16th) in Atlanta, GA. Rock and Long posed with the Hair Wars winner James Gatson (left) and Kevin Kirk (right).

Nia looked gorgeous as usual. She’s still number one on MY list. Don’t act like you don’t know what list I’m talking about. We all have one.

Rock’s documentary, Good Hair, hits select theaters October 9th with an international release date October 23rd.

Yesterday, the names were announced for the new cast of dancers for this coming season of Dancing With The Stars.  Last season, rapper Lil Kim surprised many with week after week of amazing performances, to make it all the way to the final two.  This season, singer Macy Gray will join DWTS.  Will she surprise us as well?  I guess we’ll just have to tune in to see.
