Amber Rose, the blond-bombshell known by most as Kanye West’s girlfriend, revealed a side of her not known by most in a recent article titled “Women Are Complex, Too,” found in the August/September issue of Complex mag. In the interview, Rose opened up about growing up in Philly, her new-found celebrity, the bisexual label and dating Kanye West.

Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson gave birth to a healthy baby boy late Monday night (August 10).  Husdon and fiance David Otunga welcomed their first child, David Daniel Otunga, Jr., into the world weighing seven pounds, fourteen ounces.  The sex of the child was a surprise to them both as they opted not to know the sex of the baby before birth.  

Hudon’s publicist, Lisa Kasteler, reports “the baby is beautiful and perfect. His parents are ecstatic.”

Congrats to them both!

Last week we teased you with the trailer for In the Rhythm, “the intimate and entertaining story of two black men meeting, growing and living “in the rhythm,” through dance, spoken word, and captivating visual images.”  Well, last night (August 10) was the premiere of the full-length video and not only did it meet our expectations but it exceeded them.  It’s a visually stimulating piece of art that engages you from the moment you press play.  The tone and pace of the spoken word paired with the music worked perfectly to tell this beautiful story.

“King of Paper Chasin’ – The Movie” debuted to double-sold audiences at this year’s 10th Annual New York International Latino Film Festival, presented by HBO Films. The film, executive produced by and starring rapper Dwayne “DL” Clark, is a NYC crime-drama inspired by true events that tells the story of one man’s rise to power, Carter Blanche, and his journey of how he claimed his stake in the American dream. Carter attempts to leave his crime-riddled past behind him but his road to legitimacy is intercepted by deception, betrayal and self-serving agendas by those closest to him. As he determines who’s friend or foe, the decisions Carter makes can and will cost lives.

King of Paper Chasin’ will continue screening in select markets before being released to the general public.

Singer-songwriter Ne-Yo has signed on with retailer Macy’s for a one-year deal to become the face of its private mens line, Alfani Red.

Lisa Wu-Hartwell, off the popular Bravo TV show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and husband, NFL free agent Ed Hartwell, lost their multi-million dollar Georgia home to foreclosure sometime last week. The home which they originally purchased for $2.9 million back in 2007 has already been sold off by the bank for $1.9 million.

According to Hartwell’s rep, Lisa and her husband were in talks with their lender to restructure the loan due to a decline in the home’s value, however, those talks failed. Hartwell’s rep went on to say “Ed and Lisa are fine. They have settled in their [new] home that sits on 10 acres and they OWN it!”

Glad to hear Lisa isn’t homeless, which would really throw a wrench into the whole housewife persona, however, this recent report only fuels accusations these “Real Housewives” are “really broke.”
