Political activist, poet and author Staceyann Chin will have her book signing at the Union Square Barnes & Nobles in New York City tomorrow, April 14th.

Chin will be introducing her unforgettable memoir The Other Side of Paradise. Critic Tim Robbins has described the book as, “a deeply personal, beautifully written memoir that takes us down a young woman’s road to discovery with all its struggles and heartbreak and ultimate joy. The Other Side of Paradise is a salve and a guidebook for all of our hearts.”

Union Square Barnes & Nobles is located at 33 E 17th Street, NYC. The event will begin at 7p.m. with a book reading by Chin followed by a book signing and an after-party at Bar 13 across the street.

This past weekend Chris Brown was seen palling around town with ex-girlfriend Erica Jackson at a tattoo parlor on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles.

Jackson, a student at the University of Mary Washington, met Chris in Virginia a few years ago and the two dated way before his stint with singer Rihanna. Seems as though the two have reconnected since Brown has been spending a lot of time in Virginia.

Media circuits are all excited to announce the Obamas will soon welcome home the “first dog” on Tuesday. And although the pup’s ultimate name is still up in the air – Charlie, Bo, whatever – there’s something that stands out about this male, 6-month-old, Portuguese Water Dog. Is Black Gay Gossip the only ones to notice the rainbow-esque lei around Charlie-Bo’s neck? Heeeeeey Charlie-Bo!! Represent.

Hmmmmm. I wonder if that was staged. Don’t throw us a bone (pun intended hehehe). Equal rights will serve us just fine.
