Rapper Da Brat is making the most of her time in prison down in Georgia. Brat, who was sentenced to three years in Federal State Prison in Alto, Georgia, is planning an Apollo-type talent show for fellow inmates to be called “Showtime at The Alto.” New music is even being sent to her by good friend DJ Nabs for the event.

Brat is serving time following an assault conviction for hitting a waitress in the head with a rum bottle at Jermaine Dupri’s ‘Studio 72′ club in October 2007. The waitress was left permanently scarred.

No date has been scheduled yet for  “Showtime at The Alto” but Da Brat is hoping it becomes an annual event.
