March 12th, 2010Ask Dr. Mo Love, Culture
Dear Dr. Mo Love,
I am 28 years old and I have a 4 year old son. I have been with my partner since my son was a year old. Hell she’s been there for him more than his father has. Her and my son’s closeness is noticeable to our family and friends as well. They really admire how she caters to him and provides for him. While my baby’s father is not the greatest provider in the world, he is a fairly good daddy, he spends quality time with our son and frankly- puts forth serious effort in teaching him right from wrong although he has had several brushes with the law himself. He is currently unemployed and can not assist with my son’s monetary needs. He is 6 months behind in his child support payments. My girl and I take care of all of my son’s needs, Read the rest of this entry »If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

The mainstream media would perhaps lead one to think black gay men are spreading STDs rampantly or make no contributions to the greater good of society. We all know, however, that is not the case. Some time ago, The Black AIDS Institute launched the Greater Than Aids Campaign targeting the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the black community. Phil Wilson, C.E.O. & founder of the Black AIDS Institute spoke about the campaign and PSA with POV Magazine stating: Read the rest of this entry »If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!

Ok, so I came across this image via twitter and had to post it. It clearly shows basically every other important female singer with their Grammy’s while Ms. Keri Baby is without one, looking extremely displeased. Mabye if she was a bit more humble and gracious she’d have one. Ohhh and if she was a real artist.
That’s all….
DOES KERI HILSON DESERVE A GRAMMY???

R&B singer Chris Brown has made multiple public apologies and has attempted to clean up his image via many televised interviews. The struggling singer took to his SayNow account to plead for his fans to request his songs. Read the rest of this entry »

March 11th, 2010Celebrities, Entertainment, Movies, Queen Latifah
After spending last summer in NY shooting the film, the trailer for the much anticipated film, Just Wright, starring Queen Latifah and Common has finally been released. The film is a romantic comedy starring Queen Latifah as a physical therapist who finds herself falling for a professional basketball player, played by Common, while rehabilitating him from a career-threatening injury. Paula Patton also stars in the film as Common’s gold-digging, opportunistic girlfriend. You already know I’m a big Queen Latifah fan; so if I could pre-order the tickets, it would already be done!
Just Wright hits theaters May 14th

Pop Icon Janet Jackson further proves her deep love for the LGBT community as she has taken on the role of executive producer of the documnentary ‘Being T.’ The documentary will give an insightful look into the lives of 12 male to female transsexuals living in New York City.
It is heart-warming to see a celebrity of Janet Jackson’s caliber lend her name, image, and most of all time to a project such as this. Many A-Listers shy away from hard-hitting issues relating to the LGBT community, let alone the transgender sector. Ms. Jackson truly exemplifies leadership and strength. It was not too long ago that her Read the rest of this entry »
